My kids love these new Bakugan things. One just collects them and the other slightly older one actually plays the game with his friends. THEY ARE SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN THE SIZE OF MARBLES and the kids roll them over metal cards to get them to open up into various characters. We looked all over town for these things and a DRAGONOID in particular and finally found one after literally 5-7 stores within a weekend! Now seeing them on Amazon we wish would have just saved the gas money and bought them on here. ONE THING TO REMEMBER IS BAKUGAN OPEN WHEN THE MAGNET HITS A METAL SURFACE MAKE SURE YOUR KIDS DON'T FORCE THEM OPEN LIKE MINE DID THE FIRST TIME OR THEY MIGHT BREAK THEM!

Okay - I get the cartoon, the game my 6 year old grandson likes to make up to play with these. He seriously wanted this particular dragonoid - it means something to him and his friends. (I've gone throught the Pokemon years and others with my sons, so I understand the attraction). I didn't mind paying the price for just one, since it was special. What we did mind was not receiving the card for the dragonoid. Each of these brawlers has a card with points and powers and we were very disappointed there was no card. Now I have to hunt down a card. And the shipping is a bit on the slow side.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas, and having seen some, I thought this was a bit larger. It's only about an inch across. I think the description needs to give some indication as to the size of the toy.



As for the educational value, who knows. I have never actually played with them, but the 5 year old nephew seems to like them.

I am not sure how helpful my review will be. My son likes Bakugan and is happy with the toy. I feel they are ridiculously small but I don't have to play with them. If your child likes Bakugan, I doubt they will care about the size. My son has not put them down since he got them.
