So far I am much happier with Bakugan than I was with most of the Transformers I have bought for my 6 year old son (most of which are too hard for him and me to transform and fall apart). I read in another review that series 1 (and maybe 2) Bakugan are more durable and better match the familiar characters on the TV series than some of the newer Bakugan. I received Series 1, as described.
I purchased these for my 6 year old and he has played with them for an hour every night over the past week. He is not as interested in actually playing the game as collecting them, closing and opening them and making them talk and "fight" with each other. The newer Starter pack I purchased at the same time works just fine and was significantly cheaper per toy, so I will probably not pay the extra cash for Series 1 in the future.
